Was just about to register but it says instructors are required for people who haven't been on the track before. Ive raced before just never in willow springs. I would hate to miss out on this event if forced to have an instructor. Do they enforce this rule?

I don't think you need a "personal Instructor".

No, I don't. But it is a very personal decision.

It has been my experience that Big Willow stays pretty clean, thus fewer chips and nicks. If anything, you may collect some little black marks from people throwing up rubber marbles.

The "Streets" course is a little harder on the paint, as people have more of a tendency to clip the corner entries, or spin and throw stuff onto the track for everyone to run over.

You won't clip apex's on Big Willow, and if anyone goes off, they typically stray far enough off track that they don't kick stuff back on the pavement.

But, everyone has their own comfort level with the possibility of taking a pebble. The most "permanent" type of hit is to the windscreen, driving or head lamp lenses. Most modern flexible color molded bumper caps can take alot of abuse without much more than a little dimple.

Hope that helps.

Looking forward to doing some laps with everyone.

Nope! Discount codes extended, with spots open.

Ask Joel, and you may qualify for the free timing transponder as well.

The light blue "Painters Tape" works best, as it's easy to remove and does not leave the sticky glue aftermath.

An unusually high number of American Cars making the Saturday date. Come out and join a bunch of other Vette's, late model Camaros, Stangs and a couple of sweet Pro Touring '68/'69 Camaros in the fun!

Shaping up for a great day!
