Just talked to the dealer and my baby is awaiting my return. After waiting all this time, it arrives while I have to be away. I will pick it up Monday. I should be getting some pics shortly.

See my Ride Control System thread. Pressing and holding does not put the car into competitive mode; it puts the car into StabilTrak system OFF mode. I'm assuming that for track days we want StabilTrak OFF mode and not competitive mode. Competitive Mode does have computer control for straight line acceleration.

Remove the bow tie from the front and rear. Remove the SS from the front and read. Add the 1LE to the cowl. Done. Stripes are hot.

Careful. If you know what you're doing, great. I rode with one of the Racing Pros from Hooked on Driving today. His recommendation was to leave it on, even on the track, until you feel hampered by the car. THEN turn it off to push a bit more.

Are you saying not to use competition mode? Or just not to turn everything off?

I would put black for sure. It will really look good against the CRT. I wanted to do red against my car since it was a dark color.

Yep you are right. Launch control is used by alot at dragstrips. I have used them all on my old 11' SS and I got my best times leaving everything on. I never tried to launch "real hard" I was just having fun , but with the other modes you get alot of wheel spin on the factory pirelli's. I haven't tried the 1LE yet , but probably will go to Zmax dragway in Charlotte , NC this summer sometime and see what happens..

Ozzy, we have to set up a play date! Lol. I pick her up Monday @1 and will be out most of the day. Somehow I plan to get 150 miles the first day... I might not sleep.

Only use it (turn the computer override stuff off) if you know how to correct out of a dire situation. The book says to only use this on track. And the race driver I talked to today said leave it all ON (don't turn it off) till you're on the track and feeling like the computer is controlling too much.
