New guy here.. just want to drop in and say thanks to the forum members here for the help on an install.. didn't ask anyone questions, just used the search button and found all my answers..

Decided on a couple of 12's from Pioneer, the 1000W rms models w/dual voice coils @ 4ohms.. wired the subs in parallel and got the pair down to 1 ohm..

Went with an "Audiopipe" 1500W rms class D monoblock which claims to be stable @ 1 ohm.. and boy were they right.. Settings on the amp are moderate, like 60% on the gain, LPF is set around 80HZ, Subsonic @ 20HZ, Boost @ zero.. and it will still make your hair move along with the mirrors and trunk lid.. They are seeing about 750W each.. crisp.. clean and sweet!!

Used an LOC to get the signal from the 6x9's in the rear deck.. piece of cake, and no funny pops, clicks or thumps.. Pink Floyd sounds incredible!!!

Seen where someone else put the sub control knob in the console side skirt.. thought that was very cool, so I also went that route.. decided to go with the remote power for the amp through the 12V accessory plug in the console.. you all sure made it easy.. into the system for 551.86, including shipping the sealed sub box from Kentucky ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-2010-...item4aad589477 ), Scosche Loc 80 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=300944012693 ), 4Ga Wiring from Knu Konceptz (http://www.ebay.com/itm/390407977260...84.m1439.l2649 ) along with the Amp (http://www.ebay.com/itm/300916816504...84.m1439.l2649 ) and Subs (http://www.ebay.com/itm/271229131592...84.m1439.l2649 ) from 3Kings Audio.. everything was sourced from EBay.. most was free shipping.. and a little time on a Saturday..

First picture is when we brought the 2013 LS Camaro home in July.. aftermarket 20's W/some good sticky tires.. tinted and lowered 2".. now the tunes are up to the task until I can afford to upgrade the HU and stock speakers with something a little more high end.. It may be just an LS w/the 6cylinder.. but the upgrades we've done make a lot more fun to drive.
