Z28 - When : Faith, Logic and Reasoning

I am faithful,

I BELIEVE in the Z.

...but, How Long, Oh Lord? When will we see it?

If you consider yourself to be well informed on these matters, please share with us when you expect the announcement of a finalized product with some specs, the production to begin, and the first deliveries of Z28s, and please share the reasoning behind your answer.

(Yoda Voice) "Hard to predict, the future is."

I just want my belief to be based in the best reasons I can find.

Sorry to bust your bubble (and other Z28 info seekers, for the millionth time):

The Z28 (or any supercar Camaro that might be in the works) is not officially a part of the Camaro public sector.

Those in the know, should they know ANYTHING, aren't going to tell the public ANYTHING. And this is providing those in the know actually know. They may not know. But whatever it may be, we still won't know. Know what I mean?

Product development discussions are OFF LIMITS to GM personnel. Severe and dire consequences could be thrust upon those who have loose lips should they spill the beans on anything that is coming down the pike that hasn't been released by the company brass. It's akin to a football coach leaving out his playbook for the other team to read. Ain't gonna happen, and if it did, it could cripple any business advantage gained. Which means it would be counterproductive to discuss such things.

So, even though WE as enthusiasts could speculate, and even guess correctly, the answers will not come until it is officially announced. So the world may never know.

The closest we came to that was when fbodfather kept saying "keep the faith" and stressed the Camaro was on "hiatus". GM even tipped their hand back in 2001 when they announced the "Collector's Edtion" Firebird and the "Limited Edition" 35th Camaro. Big difference between the two designators.

Those in the know are just tired of throwing hints at you guys.

I already have more horse than the Z if it makes it. Probably have a similar suspension equivalent, soon to be better also. I'm happy. =)

I'm a pilot. :party0038:

We get hot & bothered about flying and driving.

Just because I can fly a jet, doesn't mean I can afford one.

I think my formula would amount to something similar to yours

IMVUninformedOpinion - I think we're going to see another spy shot by the end of the summer; we'll get a trickle of information (perhaps confirmation of the model with few details) about the spring of next year, and might start seeing cars by the end of that calendar year. The only points I have to back-up my thoughts are that I figure GM will give us a teaser to keep hope high enough to keep interest there; I think since we received '10 info' in the summer and '11 info' in the spring, that we'll see something consistant with '12 models; production begins about the summer-ish.

I don't have any actual factual information to base these opinions off of; just guesses
