Buick Avista

THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MODERN DESIGN OF THE 2016 CAMARO SS offering visibility and interior room.

  • 3.0L twin turbo V6
  • Rear Wheel Drive

A Buick styled Camaro? Remember when John Z. Delorean wanted to make Pontiac Corvette fighter? GM said no so Pontiac designed the Firebird. I find it hard to believe that GM would allow a Camaro clone by Buick. Buick is not a sporty division like Pontiac was.
Make a hot Grand National, leave the Camaro alone.

I was hoping for a Grand National sedan with the LF4 and AWD. I would seriously consider buying that.

Pretty much guarantee if this comes to be that it won't be a clone of the Camaro anymore than the Camaro is a clone of the ATS.

Riviera?

I don't see GM trying to make this a performance car any more than the Regal GS is.

If they do then GM will have serious problems. What do you buy? A Camaro SS an ATS-V or a Buick Grand National? GM can't afford to relive the mistakes of the past.

But I am excited to see what they have cooking.

If this does turn out to be a GN and it can get here as a 2017 model, I might have to put my plans on hold...

Two more thoughts.

1 if a 2017 GN we would have seen the requisite camo cars driving around and we haven't.

2 could simply be a Cascada coupe to go with the convertible. They were working on one at one point. FWD though.

Look I had a GN and loved it, but if GM does that it will be a huge mistake.

I can't agree more!!!!!!!!
This is what I want NOW.

Instead, GM forces us to either buy a 2016 Camaro with no back seat, trunk, and visibility, or a 2008 Pontiac G8 with a bowtie pretending to be a new car for $47k. So, I chose the Camaro because, if I am buying a "new" car, it had better be NEW.

Al O told me that there are no plans for a Alpha replacement for the SS Sedan. Even if it were to happen, he said it would be at least another 3 years.

If GM offered a AWD sedan with a LT1 or LF3 (Grand National) , I would buy it today.

Nowhere in that article did it say anything about alpha.
