Quick Question about Solo

Okay so I don't want to do long tube headers because of the rasp they produce. I like the exhaust tone I have right now but could go for a little more growl if it happens. But my question is simple. Does anyone know the gains for solo's high flow cats?

Solo claims a straight up 15hp with their HFC's on the LLT (and LFX).

They will bolt right up to yer stock exhaust manifolds and improve your sound immediately.

The included (attached) resonators prevent them from having any harmful effect on the sound of whatever other exhaust components you're running- but you will definitely have a deeper growl!

Looking at your sig, I see u were able to pair the jba with the solo. How was that? Was it hard to do or can it be done? Did u feel the increase with the solo? I want a little more power but dont think I want longtubes.

Do you know where they have those claims of 15 hp?

I'm sure you know that the claims that the vendor state are typically best case increases over a stock install. The mods added to your car don't just add up. I was told by the guys in Tonawanda, where solo does their installs, that I MIGHT see a 5-8 HP increase on my setup if I add th HFC. I'm running the IPF SC with the solo Mach w/j-pipes, no resonators. This is probably the next install I plan on doing this spring.

Yes, I know the gains don't stack up. I just wanted to see if they had any dyno sheets or anything. $700 is a lot to pay even for 15 hp

You just have to cut down the Solo's just like you would the stock cats, but the Solo's are a bit longer so you lose about 1" of ground clearance.

I don't have drop springs and have had no issues.

I've seen the 15hp claim from Steve at Solo a couple of times- I expect he's got a graph to back it up. Check GOINGSOLO2 in the V6 bolt-on classified's.

Can you connect these solo high flow cats to JBA or Doug Thorley Shorty headers?
