Who All is thinking of getting ADM CAI?

I am really thinking of getting this one from Andy. I like that the MAF is actually inside the box and right behind the filter.

What are others thoughts on this intake? I just sold some ads for my website and it will cover getting something like this for the car. I was thinking of the Varamm or how ever you spell it one but the GM engineers said moving the raditior good by warranty for sure.

Let me know your thoughts!!

Thanks

Scott

PS We go to the radiation doctor tomorrow for Steph. He will have all the results of the test ran yesterday on her and will give us the game plan. Good thing is he and this hospital take our insurance where the other one did not on alot of stuff.

Interesting info about the warranty and moving the radiator. For me it's a toss-up between the Vara and ADM's. I'm waiting to see the final results and price. Theoretically the Vara has more potential, but the guys at ADM seem to be quite talented and skilled at working with performance and I liked what I've seen so far; a lot.

If all else is equal, the warranty issue would be the decider for me. Was it the GM team that came down to check your car that told you that?

Oh yes and I did in fact put in some prayers for Steph.

Won't moving the MAF cause bad readings?

Yep GM guys did. That would really be changing how the car is ment to be cooled and could cause warranty issues.

What you talking bout?! Already ordered my ADM CAI, hopefuly they ship them out this week. Nothing seems to come close in design and build quality. Quite genious on there part for placing the MAF where they did.....cant wait to install it.

Will have to do a comparison with Vararam. Don't care much about warranty issue, as I doubt my dealer will give me grief. I like the looks of the ADM more and if the performance and price is close, I will choose the ADM rather than the hassle of installing the Square-pants butt look.

PS: I will say a prayer for Stephanie

As of now I would go ADM for sure.

I haven't seen the price but I would bet it will be within reason of the others. I like the design of having the MAF in the box and I know Andy knows his stuff.

It's even better for me because his shop is only about 15 min from me. I'm sure I'll be doing most my performance stuff with him.

I think LMR would be a good second choice. But I don't think LMR's current design will be able to touch ADM's race CAI since there will be a scoop to make it more of a RAM Air type CAI. It would be nice to do a dyno comparison between all three...LMR, ADM street, and ADM race.

Whoever gets their ADM installed first please post some pics. Preferrable pics or video during the whole install.

SWEETNESS......

Can't wait to see this finished project. Surely you'll be putting on Andy's CAI.

When that things done you need to take it up to the Denton track and get some good time slips. Let me know if you go and I'll bring a video camera!

BTW: I'm assuming the lighting is jacking with the color on your car but isn't yours an SIM? Looks like some kind of teal or something in the pic.

Edit: NM...I see it's some kind of protection plastic he put around your car.

Weighing this one vs the Vararam. Depends on final numbers, price and what will work or not work w/ the upcoming Whipplecharger. I don`t mind changing the connection tubing or modifying said tubing, but one of these might not work at all.
