ZL1 2012 /2013
Hey was wondering if anyone knows if there's a difference between the 2012 and 2013 ZL1 undercarriage or the car it self. I have two used black Zl1 picked out at to different dealers the 2012 is in the showroom and is $46,000 with 5,000 mile, the 2013 is outside with 11,000 miles at $42,000 they both are nice car, just wondering if someone would know if there was a change from the two years. Thanks

I have been underneath both and there are no visual differences. The magnetic ride sensors are a different part # 2012 vs 2013. The rear view mirror is nicer in the 2013 and the center NAV unit.

Guess its the 2013 more miles but also $4,000 cheaper, trading in my 2010 SS while I can still get a descent trade amount for it down side its a 8 hour drive to go get it. Thanks Guys

I have a 2014 ZL1 manual. I was told that 2012 manual transmissions and before do not have "Hill Assist", as opposed to 2013 and older do. Check the 2012 owner's handbook to see if the 2012 has "Hill Assist" if it is a Manual Transmission.

I think they both covered it above... You can't make a wrong choice with either, IMO. I did however like the bigger backup camera display on the dash on my '13 versus the small display on the mirror, but they both had pro's and con's. Let us know what you land on! And pics! we love pics!

I didn't even consider the option of A6 or M6... oops. "it's what you don't think of, not what you do think of" =)

IMHO 13' was the perfect year for the ZL1's
You get the benefit of the MyLink, frameless rearview mirror and a few other goodies listed above. The later models changed the rear taillights and so while not for me it's a personal call.

Always run the VIN on these cars with GM, make sure warranty is still valid.
