ALL produce consistently high numbers and do what they are designed to do.

Whenever you are ready to bring your "beast" to hang with real cars we will be sure to show you.

Tired of your constant Cheerleading and down talking of everything but your dealer and it's partners.
whoah, what??? Credibility? My dealer? huh? I post on here as an individual, and my opinions are my own based on my 15 yrs + of modifying my personal cars.Als my experience is based upon what I learned from Callaway cars, Hennessey performance engineering, working in a Chevrolet Service dept, and working with technicians EVERYDAY! I'm not a fan of metal intakes and cold air intakes by themselves are a joke. I don't buy a cold-air intake kit based on it's numbers alone. I've ALWAYS stated its a building block mod and there is TOO MUCH FOCUS on JUST the INTAKE alone!!!(escpecially on Camaro5)
I don't like mis-information and speak up when I feel it's being posted on threads.

I will gladly bring my new '13 1LE out to more events when it arrives. I have a mileage cap on my current '12 before it's traded in and has been parked for a month.

Yes I prefer my brands, we all do. I was joking and sarcastic about the CAI (the brand) intakes.

Lighten up

And that is the issue there was NO misinformation given other than your own.

CAIs do and have been proven as such to add a substantial gain to stock cars as the stock tubing is absolute crap designed to silence the airflow rather than letting it breathe as a well designed CAI does.

this is not debatable and has been proven independently many times now.

I really don't care what you put or don't put on your car. I don't understand why you are willing to spend the money for long tube headers with off road extensions with plans to install a cam, yet you put up a huge stink about spending $350 for a C.A.I.

A C.A.I. was the first thing many of us added to our Camaro's. It adds h.p., it adds a deeper sound to the exhaust and it also looks damn damn nice. If you don't want one, it is your car so don't put one on.

Interesting fact:

Callaway Cars uses K&N filters on their cars. They have been recognized by General Motors as the ONLY Offical tuner of Corvettes Camaros and trucks. You can take museum delivery on a Callaway Corvette at the Corvette museum. They have their own drop ship BAC too (only dealerships have a BAC, other than Callaway Cars)

I'll add Halltech to this list. It did more than the CAI in the test FYI. For the price, the K&N is a good deal.

who cares..
overpriced and under-performing, and no a factory warranty doesn't make up for it.

Any of the awesome shops on this board can build a car that will squash a Callaway for much less, and guess what all of them are using a CAI of some sort not just a filter.

K&N used to be the poop back when there was no one else worth a damn.

K&N filters are great for what they are.. they are a 1 time fee for a high flow reusable filter..
nothing else..

If the tubing getting the air to that filter is obstructed or not ideal it doesn't matter how well your filter flows..
that is what a CAI fixes.
the garbage air intake path that these cars have on them stock.

Guys once again thanks for all the input... I am going to order the ADM race scoop cold air. The reason I posted the question is because I've had people tell me both ways that it isn't necessary and that it is. I even had a performance shop that I'm positive all of y'all have heard of tell me that it isn't necessary. Granted it was the Internet sales guy that apparently wasn't properly trained at his job but that isn't my problem. I never had a problem with buying cold air but wanted to make sure it was going to be worth the upgrade after being told by the performance that it doesn't make a difference and it isn't necessary. Of all people u would think they would know!!!!

now the ADM race scoop is just a scoop and not a cold air intake.
what CAI are you getting with it?
