BIG grudge match coming up
Hey guys i know this is going to be a little tough bc i lack some info, but i have a grudge match coming up with one of my fraternity brothers coming up on Aug 1st and was wondering what you guys thought.
He drives a BMW 335i with a "chip". I think thats all hes done to the car right now, but by race day he might have his exhaust done. my 2010 has the TVS 2300, only going minimum boost though (6psi) if i can hook up, will i take him? (i dont know much about BMW or what they can do)

you should take him, those bimmers are fast and was thinking of getting one awhile ago, but he needs a bit more than a chip to beat you.

Yeah, just stomp on the pedal and if you get at least a 5 second 0-60 you will win.. Unless the beamer has nitrous to go along with its 5.3 0-60 AVG..

His chip/flash/exhaust will up his boost and make him about a 13.3 car w/0-60 of 4.8 (numbers from Edmunds.com test of car w/similar mods). Your TVS blower puts you easily into the 12 sec range. 0-60 will be a traction contest, but you should then walk away if you're anywhere close. If it's his 1st time at the track and you're experienced, I'd guess that he'll sit and spin his 1st couple of times. Lot's of torque from him and track is different from street.

A stock SS and a 335i with his mods would be a drivers race. You have over 100 extra horsepower with the 6psi of boost. As long as you get traction and can launch he won't have a prayer of even keeping it close.

Don't know if you have to register, but this post will shed a little light on the potential... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...JB3+1%2F4+runs Quote:
Dinan is safe power, and high dollar, the more powerful shops are N54=JB1-3, and Vishnu. Those two tuners are competing for supremacy over there. Those guys will throw in race gas when they want to race and run a more aggressive boost map, some are trapping over 117 with these set ups. Not saying this guy in the OP's post will, but low-mid 12's with the above mods and race gas are not out of the question.
