Yeah, that's the meltdown. Imagine what was going the mind of the guy in the Mustang. I wonder if he got oil all over his car? He was about 1-2 car lengths behind by the 1/8th and never pulled past until after the 1/4th.

He posted another video of me against a Challenger when I was on the street tires. Once I get decent traction I took off. That's the pass where I finally got to WOT at the very end.

Them videos were awesome yet ugly. But that last run you can tell the car was going places FAST. it just took off.

It will probably be a day or two before they can start the diagnostics on the old motor. Should be ordering a new long block tomorrow. Definitely going to go with forged rods, but need to see what else failed to see where we go from there.

Is there any why you can see if there's a way to find a stronger chain also? Are you getting new or used block?

Don't think it is the strength of the chain that is the issue. Remember, this is just driving the valve train so adding HP doen't really add more pressure for that particular aspect of the motor. Instead, my thinking is the greater acceleration is leading to not enough oil where the system picks it up and supplies it to the hydralic tensioners. Aaron isn't convinced, but we haven't torn it down yet, so who knows.

Getting a used block to build. Looks like the LFXs are just as cheap as the LLTs, so that's good.

New motor is on its way. Rods will be going out for spec Monday. They'll start the tear down next week (couple of things came up and they couldn't start this week).

wow, soo sorry about the motor blowing up, horrible, but at holy F*** dude!!!! You coasted and got a 11.4?!?!?!! Now thats insane.

So this beast actually did 0-60 in 2.67 seconds? OMG

Horrible 60'. Still need to figure that out. According to the log it took a full sec for the throttle to open all the way up.
