I'm thinking about starting a ZL1 jealous club. who wants to join? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I promised myself I would stay out of this part of the forum because I didn't want to continue to torture myself about not having a ZL1. but of course the ZL1 forces keep drawing me to this part of the forum.

so, in that respect. I'm thinking about starting my own ZL1 club. that would be all the jealous people that either don't have a ZL1 or cannot afford one (or even both).

who's in? lol

There's nothing to be J about

There's nothing you couldn't do to your SS that couldn't make it perform better than ZL1. Many already have!!!

oh I know. My S/Ced SS has identical rwhp as a stock ZL1. this makes me feel good about already owning a car that can hang with a ZL1 at least in a straight line.

You stand corrected my friend........there is nothing you can do to simulate magna ride............and a stronger tranny and rearend..........the costs would kill you.........zl1 owners have stated that comparing an SS to a zl1 makes the SS feel like a baby.........and in the end it still looks like an SS..........

I respectfully disagree. There are mod'd SSs that will outperform ZL1. Look at Pedders results as one example. I didn't say you could change SS into ZL1; I said you could make it outperform it; you would need a substaintial budget to duplicate it's durability, but that was not my point.
