Ram air kits ?

Anyone heard of any ram air kits in the making? And which would be better ram air or cold air intake?

SLP is supposedly working on one to completment their hood scoop along with a couple other manufacturers

as far as which is better.... either can be better than the other, tho most often times, CAI will be better than RAI.

some threads to look thru

"Ram-air" is a science, not just some deal you bolt onto a car. Major research goes into a proper system AND tuning to make it work the way it should. A proper CAI is the best we can all hope for.

I look for one of these designs to be available VERY VERY soon....
And YES they do fit under the hood, these are all on G8 (and holden) cars with similar packaging requirements to the Camaro.

yes and no. from what I've seen, there will be an ability to make the mail slot functional. however, the radiator cap is right in the middle of the rad and could pose a problem with routing the air intake to the manifold

check this thread. I snapped a couple pics of around the front fascia/mailslot area to show that its a "blow-thru".
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21783

but the rad cap is RIGHT in the middle of the rad. guess they wanted to balance the car just right....

and its not just a rad cap replacement, you'll have to replace the whole radiator with a different one that has the filler neck in a different place. or cut and weld it yourself.
