Aftermarket Parking Sensors
Instead of tapping into the reverse lights, could you also tap into the backup camera harness? Since some cars have approach lights when you unlock the car, the reverse lights come on which would trigger the sensors to go off if it was tapped into the lights. I know you can turn off the approach lights, but when you do, the reverse ones still come on when you unlock.
Sensors only need 12v when backing up. Thoughts?

I recently installed a aftermarket back up camera and screen in my 2010 which never offered factory camera system. I couldn't figure out where the harness was in the dash so i spliced into the reverse lights. It was a little more work but I was able to cleanly hide all the wiring from front to rear inside the interior body panels.
Yes, the sensors only need 12V. I think there might be a reverse wire you can tap into around your transmission shifter.
