looking to change the paddles on my L99

Hey guys, I wanna change the paddle on my 2011 L99. They originally came with the buttons but I'm looking to swap them for some nice actual paddles, where can I find them?... and also would I be able to just get the paddles off the 2012 wheel without having to buy the steering wheel? Thanks

Hurst makes a paddle kit for the 2010's. IMHO there gigantic! Not sure about retrofitting you asked about, I thought the 2011-12 had buttons also.

I just watched a video showing that the prototype hurst paddles block the ability to use your windshield washer fluid and make it hard to scroll through your menu while driving and having the wheel straight. Do these problems still exist or was it fixed

Yea I think they're way too massive.

What you could do however, is maybe trim them a little bit?

I guess or machine new paddles and use the rest of the hardware from the hurst kit.

Personally, I'd go with the tap shift on the shifter made by member "CFD" on this forum. This is one of the best mods I've done. This works fantastic and never have to worry about the wheel being in the wrong position to shift.

I agree with pony!! The tap shift on the shifter made by member CFD Is a GREAT mod!!! Very easy to install !!! I just love using it now instead of the tap shift on the steering wheel!!!

That sounds awesome Pony, I'll hit you up for more info by PM if that's ok. Though until I can reprogram the beast the threshold for auto shifting annoys me too much to enjoy the buttons anyhow.

Those are just too big. I would love something like what was on the last Gen BMW 545I/550I
