My JL 12" and JL 250 amp install VIDEO AND PIX!

Here's the install with pix I promised.

It's a custom box and it really is a good job. I was surprised at the quality of the box and the install. I gotta hand it to Custom Sounds. They really did a stellar job at the install.

The quality of the video is okay. The sound ok. The popping has to be the camera.

Custom Sounds off 7707 San Pedro, San Antonio, TX

I paid $495 out the door which paid for the amp install kit (wires, splitter, fuse, etc), for the materials for the box, labor for the building of the box, and labor for wiring the amp.
I basically brought in my JL 12" and JL 250 amp and they put it all in for me for $500 in a custom box.

Nope. I am not sure where they wired it to. I was going to do it all myself and then I remembered the hassle of lifting carpet, seats, splicing, etc. I don't know where they wired the power wire, but I guess it has to be to the battery in the trunk since it's right there. I'll lift it later and check it out.

I'll bet you can still fit some clubs in there. I couldn't tell you for sure, though since I'm not the golfer...sorry. But, yes...there is a LOT of room left over. It really only takes up that little corner back there.

We were going to go w/ the 12 ported in a sideways box. But, they said they would have to build it in the car, it would not be removable, and it would take up a lot of room. The sealed in the side was my original preference. But, ported sounded better to me when they offered it. I'm glad we went with the sealed since it really is "out of the way" and takes up less room.

Hey..just make sure you are
1. Not a cop
2. Don't piss anyone off that works there
3. Buy tire road hazard insurance before taking your car there.

If you follow these three rules, you sshhhhoooouuulllldddd be okay.

Seriously? They really did a good job. And besides the BS with the tire, they really did impress me with the speaker box and install. I'm pleased in that aspect.
