2014 ZL1 Service Suspension System

Well with 3900 miles on my 2014 ZL1 I got the 'Service Suspension System" light with the accompanying 85 MPH limit on speed, neither "Sport or Tour" lights worked, and the ride was like being in a bouncy house. I took it in for warranty and they had a SB on an update to the computer code, seem fine, but time will tell. The worst part was that it came on while I was merging into traffic on the highway and almost got in a wreck when the power cut back to 85mph and the traffic here in CO. goes a lot faster then that.

What in the heck is YOUR speed limit there?

here in Mi, most expressways, the limit is 70mph.

75, but no one drives that slow here is Colorado, if your not doing 85-90 on the Interstate you are holding up traffic.

So they did an update to the computer to make the issue go away? I might have to take my ZL1 in to have the same update done.

Yes, there is a Service Bulletin out for the issue on the 2014 to replace the program to resolve this issue.

I got the same message when I had around 2000 miles on mine, but the message went a way on its own and I never have seen it since.

DFA,

My deepest apologies to read about the traffic incident after getting warranty service performed. If you feel a follow-up GM inspection is necessary, I would be happy to communicate this situation with the designated Customer Experience Manager at your dealer. Here to help!

William,

The traffic incident happened when the "Service Suspension System" came on, I had the system serviced after that under warranty and was told about the SB at that time.

This just happened to me today. I will see if I can drive it past 85 tonight on way home from work. Hopefully haveing the car off it may reset itself. If not, I guess I will have to take it in.

I am in a 2013 and that same message popped up for about a minute a few weeks ago. After I stopped the car it never came on again. Gremlins in the computer?
