I am thinking the Z28 could be a SS option like the 1LE, includes 1LE suspension and LS7. They have to be careful not to price it out of the market. I think the ZL1 will stay the king Camaro.

There is a way to fix this, buy 1 of all the 5gen cars, 2010 LT 2010 SS then a 2011 convertible in yous trim, now you need a 2012-13 ZL1 and a 1LE and next the hot wheels car and so on.

And as it was said before, there's always going to be something better. I knew there'd be something better down the road (possible Z/28, a lighter, more powerful 6th gen, etc) so it doesn't bother me.

I think it MIGHT be "screwing" 1LE owners IF it was a similar price. Even IF, Z28 returns, it's not going to be close to 1LE in price. Who could reasonably ask for LS7 powertrain with 1LE for similar price?
I don't think Z28 returning would/should make any CAMARO-owner feel anything less than happy about the situation. JMVHO.

The 1LE is a great car and it is modeled after the ZL1. If they build the Z28, so be it. Trade up in a couple of years, if that is your choice. |

I suspect many of you have never driven an ls7 powered car before. The power will be just below the supercharged lsa. With simple bolt ons it will be a wicked ride. With that said 1le is not modeled after a zl1 aside from a few styling cues. Suspension brakes rear end engine and on an on are completely different.
If the ls7 or hopefully z28 is in the 40's I will keep my 2010 2SSRS and add a ls7/z28 to my collection. The ls7 really is quite a thrill to drive. Would love to have a 2SS/RS/1LE with the ls7 as an option. I can dump the weight to make it a true successor of the first gens z28 and drive it around the local road courses. The roval in fontana demands this car be made. This car will destroy any competing companies pony car. The ss is already a much better car than the gt. The zl1 is better at everything than the supercharged mustang aside from the drag strip. |

There is also a very small chance the Ls7 is high output 550hp like tye LS7 concept. I would really like to see ZL1 breaks as an option and maybe adjustable coilovers.

Even if the Z/28 releases you can bet I wouldn't buy the very first model year, I'd most likely get the 2nd or 3rd being that they will make improvements. Just like I wouldn't get a '12 ZL1, I'd get a '13 or '14. The 1LE is an amazing car, if anything the ZL1 owners should be fearing about getting the shaft. 580HP and 426HP, what were the times at VIR again? [QUOTE=MY1STCAMAR0;5995384]I can dig that!

I settle for 3.6 right now until I can comfortably afford 6.2 liter. |

You know, all this LS7 Z/28 talk, whose to say a 2LE performance package with the upgrade engine wouldn't be released and the Z/28 will be released as a 6th Gen.
Just doesn't make sense with 1-2 years left for the current model why GM would release a Z/28. 1LS 2LS 1LT 2LT 1SS 2SS "2" seems to be superior, so a 2LE seems possible. YEAH I SAID THAT! |
