Been my experience that weddings take the entire day. Unless it's a small informal wedding. If it does break up early, I suppose there is a slight chance of some sort of "after" () activity. Have to play that by ear, though...

Oh, it's not OUR place on Mercer Island! We just stumbled on a great viewing spot one year, and go there when we can. The building has a red roof that the pilots use as a marker. They do a lot of low turns there - you can actually see the pilots' faces, they're so low! VERY cool!

Hmm...it looks like it'd be about an hour and a half-ish to get down there...so if it starts at noon then I'd need to leave around 9:30~10 if I only give an extra half hour for traffic.

I am not usually out and about on that weekend, how bad does the 405 get?
See Ladybumblebee...we also have discovered if you take HWY 9,(we usually take it from Marysville) usually light traffic and pop out by Edmonds. There is also the Hobart way, which will bring you into Enumclaw and then 410 to Buckley. Hope you make it!

Just a little reminder that us Southenders did brave the traffic, the elements, and Seattle, to make the trek up North earlier this year to Dicks.
C'mon, you guys up North can put together your own Camarovan to come down!
It'll be fun! (I just don't recommend I-5 through downtown Seattle as your first choice... )
