Just ordered LT's and full CB system....

So i just ordered kooks long tube headers with hi flow cats and the magnaflow street series cat back Should be here next week hopefully. Got a great deal from maryland speed.

With that said I was looking into getting a tune. I know devenport does dyno tuning but I wanted to see if anyone has gone with a downloadable tune from guys like Jannetty or others. Are there any other recommendations for local tuners? I want to install everything at once but I don't know how quick I can get the tuning done. So I know I might get the check engine light. Will this cause any other issues?

Thanks!

Don't forget to post a video when you get everything installed

Another Calgary Camaro. You should check out the cruise coming in a few days if you haven't already seen that thread!

I installed the LT and catback exhaust myself. To be honest, I could not afford the price for dyno tuning. Not knocking anyone, and I understand the cost involved, but I went with Jannetty for a "canned tune". Check with Ted. I believe if you buy the tuner from him, he will give you a tune for free. (don't quote me on that. I could be off the wall, but check with him first.)

They do tons of R&D just like others who do tuning. I haven't had a problem with my tune. Here is the thing. There is enough R&D done that EVERYONE who does tuning can give us a generic tune and it will work. However...every car is different and will "fine tune" differently. If a dyno tune is something you just can't afford right now, you won't go wrong with a "canned tune". In the future if you're going to do a cam or FI, then you may want to consider a dyno tune. Even with this, Ted is willing to have you do data logging, send him the files and he will fine tune remotely. As much as may be needed.

I've tried to give you enough info for you to make an educated decision. It is 12:30am and I'm getting a bit sleepy. If there is anything I've missed, someone please chime in.

If this leaves you with questions...ask away!

thank for the info! im definetly leaning towards the janetty route just base on the research i have done and your right he does provide the tune if you buy the unit from him. i dont have everything to install the system myself so i might have to ask someone here for help but i will make it worth thier while. i might have to get the tune later on but i want to install evverything at once. i know i will get the check engine light but it shouldnt cause any other issues?

The check engine light won't cause any issues (except bother you). You will feel an increase in power by installing the LT's and exhaust. When you get the tune, then you'll see what you were missing! LOL
