Thanks! Yes, it's amazing the difference a good pair of DR's will do for 1320 runs.

Here are a couple of my best slips so far. I understand we are only allowed 1 slip, so i would like to have the old one with a 13.03 deleted and have the 12.80 instead. The 12.80 was my best run where i didn't red light. On the 12.80 run, i missed 3rd gear, so it had the potential to be in the 12.60's, all things being the same.
The other time slip was my best so far. I know its a redlight and it doesn't count for the official list, but it's still pretty quick for a completely stock SS. Yes, it's completely stock. Other camaro5 members were at the track that night cheering me on. I think the 12.60's that are at the top of the list are completely believable, because i'm right in the same neighborhood. The next cold snap we have down here, i'm gonna try for the record.

I forgot to post the important info in the above post.
Tires used on the pass: stock tires at 33lbs. Performance Mods (if any): None. Category submitted for: Bone stock. R/T.......... .035 60'............. 1.870 330'........... 5.294 660'........... 8.244 660’ mph... 82.95 1000'.......... 10.740 1320'.......... 12.806 1320’ mph… 109.80 Name of the track: Palm beach international raceway Date of pass: Feb 17, 2010 Weather conditions: (include Density Altitude, if known): 54 degrees, 60% humidity, -286 DA. I also missed 3rd gear. oops. Mod4SS. Here is another timeslip that shows the 111+. It is accounted for on the unofficial list, but not the official one because of the redlight. Some may say its not a valid run, but a redlight has no effect on the et or trap speed, that's why its unofficial. But to me, i'll take it. We've still got some good air down here so we'll see what happens.

Very Impressive. You have a strong car and by looking at your 60' times you're a really good driver. Because of the forums rules for the official list, you should try waiting until you see the green light before launching. I know that's real hard to do. But that way you're gauranteed not to red light. But great times. I'll post your 12.6 in the unofficial list and update your official time. |

Thanks for the props. I know I should be more
patient when trying for a legitimate pass, but old habits are hard to break. I gotta give credit to the Darrin Morgan break In method. I drove it hard from the time I picked it up with 12 miles and I'm very impressed with it's performance.

Yep. I would definately recommend that
method to anyone. After all, it's under warranty. There's a camaro 5 member that comes to the track and he's breaking his in somewhere between Darrin Morgan and the gm recommended method.
