Factory Hurst shifter

I'm 99% sure I'm going to add the factory installed Hurst shifter when I order my 2011 SS in December. Does anyone have one? Is it really that much of a difference in shifting? Thanks...

I have a Hurst and love it. I would install it myself after you get the car. Why pay interest on an easy install?

Guys, he's asking about the factory installed Hurst (KAE). There's a difference between the factory and aftermarket.

After market HURST= 40% reduction
GM HURST= 22% reduction

Aftermarket HURST= race
GM HURST= sport

Any short throw= better than stock

I just got my 2011 with the factory Hurst. I like it better than the non Hurst stock shifter. Shorter throw and better feel. I would recommend it.

Factory hurst definatelly better feel over stock. Not too much like the billet aftermarket. Still a little notchy for my liking.

The factory Hurst it a little notchy, but I like the way it feels. No doubt that you are in gear. Just before I bought the Camaro I test drove a 2011 Mustang 5.0 and I liked it much better than the manual in the Mustang. It's possible that some after market options may be better, but I prefer to know what I'm going to have ahead of time.

If the dealer is installing it then probably. The option on an ordered car is around $360 maybe a little more.
