Well,

I just got off the phone a little while ago... with JusticeDeb...

My Pedders stuff is paid for, and I have an appointment for the 19th of July in Fredericksburg for the install...

The following Wednesday, or five days prior to departure for the Fest, I'll take her to the track and get in some shakedown runs... More power, better suspension... out to be some better times... despite the heat...

Nice. Oh and I really want a look at your transmission too. One of the things I'm really looking forward to at this year's fest.

Well let me offer this...

My trailer has the split tail... At one point, we can park the car on the ramps with the trans at the split tail and you can climb under there and look to your lil hearts content... Wait until you see the fit on the four inch driveshaft... It's Tight...

This is part of the reason I opted for that on this trailer... Last year, we had heck getting under the car... Now, stop wherever and you have access to the underside as needed...

We'll get you hooked up...

Damn straight!! I can't wait to see the times man. That's a serious beast you've built, and now you can have some fun with it. Good luck!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to go yet, but I may be getting my car shipped out to Camarofest. It's still in the works though, and may fall through, but not sure. Are you going for sure man? It would be great to me you, as well as many other of the excellent people of Camaro5.

I wish I could say the same for mine. My car refuses to push power past 530rwhp on 91 Octane at 10.6psi (last tuned on a dynojet). My engine is a stock LS3 with a single Turbonetics kit (60#lb/hr injectors), stock headers, off-road midpipes, 3" straight through catback, and ADM twin fuel pumps, 7# wastegate springs, AEM Tru-boost Boost controller. The car is pulling timing like crazy, and flat out refuses to increase power. Something is holding it back. I had no intention of it going anywhere near 10.6psi, so the tuner must have been adjusting the boost controller. That's stick engine suicide I would imagine. I'm just looking for around the 8psi range. Turbonetics is achieving 620rwhp at 8.2 psi on a stock LS3 with off-road midpipes. Now I have to figure out what's wrong with the car :(. I sunk money into a retune this last time because I went from stock cats to off-road pipes, but also got a retune because I truly thought my last tuner may have been a bit inexperienced since he said the car was pulling timing and couldn't get much power out of it once the car got the turbo installed (he achieved 503rwhp on 8 psi with stock cats). Now, I realize it may not be the tuner as much as it is something on the car because the damn thing is still pulling timing and reducing power. For this retune I switched gas stations with another reputable station just to eliminate the chance of the timing issue being from a bad tank of gas, but that didn't work either. Then, I checked my MAF sensor, looked at the identification code, and I have a "weak" one. Yay me, hahaha. So, I just installed a "strong" one hoping that may help as well. Then, I want to look at changing spark plugs, plug wires, look at the knock sensors or anything accidentally setting them off, and then the injectors. I'm not sure if any of these items will 100% be the cause but they would be easy more superficial fixes. I'm going to take it to Turbonetics in August when they complete their move, so they'll have all their equipment set-up. I guess we'll see what it could be. I want to actually find the cause because I don't want to spend more on retunes when that's not the problem. Then, when the timing issue is fixed, I'll get a final tune to dial it in right. I was thinking of having Ted Jannety remote tune in while it's on the dyno after some data logging. Ugh, I just want the car to make the power is supposed for the kits capability at the boost level desired, and be done with it for now.

Brother,

Unless Chicken littles prophecy comes true, I'll be there...

Car or no car, if you can make it you need to try... It's going to be an amazing time...

As for the boost issue, hmmm, I'm not sure what to suggest.... You've covered most of the things my limited knowledge would suggest... As I was reading that, I was thinking exhaust restriction... but you covered that with the pipes...

How much timing are they trying to put in the car... Mine is running 12 degrees...

Where was the 10.2 boost measured...

I wish I had more to offer, but I'm thinking the trip to Turbonetics is a good bet...

If you plan on making it to the Fest, with or without the beast, lets make sure we hook up...

Pm me your e-mail and I'll return it with my phone number...

Ha-ha-ha, chicken little, that's classic. Sounds like a plan man. I'll ask the shop the status of the trip and see if they'll be sending my car and I down there. It would be great for us all the chill. I'll PM you my info.

Thanks a ton for the info., I really appreciate it. I'll have to ask the tuner the exact information on the timing used, and where the boost was measured so I can get back to you. Hopefully I can get a hold of him. It's ridiculous sometimes because I have to communicate with the shop to relay info. to the tuner for me. The shop and tuner are good friends and have worked together in the past, but the tuner just rents their dyno from time to time to tune their cars, and he works elsewhere full-time. It doesn't seem like the shop is fond of giving out the tuners number, which is frustrating for me when I have questions and the shop can't ahold of him sometimes. I'm still waiting for the tuner to email me a copy of my tune to save in my SCT tuner for future use/reference, and it's already been a few weeks now.

Yeah, I hear you on the frustration part with getting ahold of the tuner...

Corey is very protective of his cell phone number... Since we have the friend relationship we do now, there has been a time or two when he was tuning a customers car, and I was helping, checking stuff, what ever he needed, and his phone would be going off constantly... I'ld take the phone from him and put it in the office...

Again, with or without the car, I hope you can make it to the Fest...

That definitely makes sense, as it has to be tough on Corey receiving such a high volume of calls, especially when he's trying to concentrate on the work at hand. I could see where he's coming from for sure.

Thanks, I hope I can make it out to Camarofest too. I've never gone, and it seems like a blast. I'm going to freak the hell out with that many saucy Camaro's in one freaking place. God help me.

It is worth every bit of time money etc for the trip... I've never had more fun over a five day period than last year and my car broke on the way out there...
