how can i prove my speedometer is not off?

me and this girl from work have been driving down the highway together every night after work and i will tell her dang your driving fast, like 80 and she is like no i never went over 70

then tonight we tested it, she said go 60, so i set my cruise to 60 and she did the same

she left me, so im pretty sure her speedometer is wrong, or im worried it could be mine? how can i prove it?

Figure out if her car has the FACTORY TIRE SIZE on it.

If she has taller or shorter profile tires than stock, the speedo will be off.

she told me her car tires were new and bigger size, but she also drove a truck one night and swears she wasn't driving over the speed limit when she clearly was, so thats 2 different cars, i doubt they are both messed up
but i hope mine isn't messed up

Definitely try gps. Any standalone unit or smartphone will tell you your current speed and they are pretty damn accurate.

Actually I have tested this with an Android APP and it was pretty accurate, free to download and if you have 3g-4g connection speed it will work great, turn on app and just drive and watch your phone from time to time, speed will increase as you do, also calculates road elevation by feet! good luck

Any Garman or TomTom GPS will give you an accurate MPH reading.
