Mine was a former South Carolina Highway Patrol unmarked unit.

The purple pearl M6 was never used in service, just turned over 14K miles late this summer. That's my trailer queen. The red one was used as an unmarked Mass State Police traffic enforcement unit for 10 years, then it went to the EVOC. I bought it at the state police auction a couple years ago for $900. It needs a lot of TLC, but it's solid. Still up in the air; sell it or keep it (although leaning towards keeping it at the moment ).

wow, for 900 bucks i would definately keep it. wondered why HP would use red for a traffic unit but everyone knows red is the fastest color

I just got goosebumps. I may have been pulled over by your car. Would you happen to know if it served in the Lowcountry? That would be the Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester county area. The trooper that used to drive the one I'm thinking of was called turnaround Brown. Him in that car used to be legendary around here. If you were caught speeding going in the opposite direction it didn't matter where you were, heavy traffic, solid median, he would turn around and get you. Did it have a lot of mileage on it when you got it? South Carolina usually gets a lot of use out of their vehicles before they are sold is what I have heard.

Sorry to dissapoint, it was from Troop 1 in Columbia according to the seller. It had just over 100K miles and then kept in a police car museum in Largo, FL for almost 10 years by the second owner.

It was a steal, has 122K miles, but like I wrote, needs A LOT of TLC. They bought a few each of different colors, black, red, green. I talked to the fleet guy after I bought it trying to get the maintenance records, but I was too late, they already tossed everything. He did tell me mine was the last one in the fleet. I think they only bought a dozen, dozen and a half anyway.

Jeez.. EVOC trainer? Almost a fate worse than a 16 year old boy racer..

Almost? It IS! The brakes and tires were shot, almost the whole front suspension needed replacing, and the transmission was on its last leg. It's driveable now, but still has a ways to go.
