Wheel Alignment?

So, the dealership is going to check whether or not I need an alignment this morning. Car hasn't had one since I bought it (4 years), so I'm guessing it will. Dealership wants to charge me $150 to do it. Is this reasonable? Can I get it cheaper elsewhere? Or should I just get it done while its in their shop already?

Try to go through a club or forum sponsor, not a dealer. Normal alignment shop cost should be around $90 USD.

Prices are always different for guys in the states. I've found here that 2 wheel alignments are usually 120$ and 4 wheel alignments are about 150. Also I doubt anything will be out of whack in your alignment in 4 years. And the only way they can know if you need one without doing an alignment is if there is obviously something wrong with your steering or tire wear. I'm calling bullshit on the stealership and if you are worried wait till you get new tires and do one. I'm no expert on alignments though.

I had new tires put on last year, without an alignment then either. It's costing me $10 for them to let me know if I need an alignment or not. Hopefully they are honest about it requiring one or not...

I Paid 115 for mine in BC. These guys had a brand new state of the art machine that was way slick.

I called a couple places, and all were around $130, so I said to hell with it and paid the $150 at the dealership, since it was already in there.

On a side note, they found an oil leak during the inspection, and replaced a valve gasket or something under warranty. Pretty happy about that!

For $10 tell them you want the print out, dont take their word for it. Then you can evaluate it and have it set nice, not just factory spec.
I ran 3 different setups last year and learned a lot.

I received the full work order including what they fixed for the leak, and the specs for the alignment, both before and after. I'm satisfied with the result!

Thanks everyone!
