I was supposed to fly in to Toronto today at 8 am from Newfoundland to pick up my zl1 and drive it home. Dealer never phoned me and told me that I could not take my car tell last night so then I had to cancel my flights and my ferry ride home. My dealer say they have no idea when I can take the car does anyone else have any idea on when this stop delivery will be lifted.

If you are a "Sasquatch" or the size of the "Jollie Green Giant", I would recommend going with a stand key. I'm a small guy which stands about 5'10" tall and drives with the column all the way down and my legs get no where near the FOB! I think that GM is doing a CYA campainge to protect themselves.
Bottom line, put down the jelly dougnut, take your fat ass to the gym, or go trade in your car for a Silverado HD Dullie.

I am in a similar situation, I'd love this stop delivery thing to be lifted right away.

They fixed mine.
It would be nice if Tremec would fix the problem and stop building them with this issue.

I take it your second gear grind was not on your 2013 L99 .

I'm 6"-4", 260 pounds. I don't come anywhere close to touching the key in my Camaro. But I can do it in a Silverado as shown in the video I posted yesterday.

An extremely unlikely set of circumstances is what caused all this in the first place. There's a lot of things you can accidentally do while driving that are highly unlikely to actually happen that can cause a much worse outcome. Wonder if they're going to have recalls for those too?

If it would cost $800 for the system I think it would be fair to pay something like $200-$250 as an upgrade to GM's recall solution. I'd be down for this. Anyone else? GM Customer Service, what are your thoughts about this?
I'd do that, for sure.

The only way I could hit the key fob with my knee was if I was already in an accident.

I physically can't hit the key because my wheel is in the way. And I'm 6'1

I still don't understand how changing the KEY is supposed to solve anything. If the switch is that loose that a mere bump or weight on the key can cause it to move position, seems to me they should be replacing the switch.
