Former Mustang GT Owner and Now a Chevy guy

Hi everyone,

I just redeployed from Afghanistan and traded my 2006 Mustang GT Convertible for a 2011 White Camaro SS with a manual tranny and sunroof. All I can say is Wow!! This car blows away my old Mustang. I thought I would have regrets because I have always been a Ford guy but this car has made a believer out of me.

I was going to mod out my Mustang before I got the Camaro. I just want do some simple mods like a CAI and rear end gears. If I get a CAI will I have to get the computer tuned? I don't know a lot about these cars and I know with the Mustang you have the tune the computer with just about every mod. Thanks in advance.

There are a few intakes out there that do require a tune but for the most part your fine. Usually you can hold off on the tune until you do headers or more serious work. Two popular intakes are Roto-Fab and CAI. They both look awesome make good power and we sell them at awesome prices. Nice choice btw, kind of funny. I personally test drove and put a deposit down on the exact same car. White 2SS, manual with a sunroof. Thinking if I grab in on Monday I'm gonna opt for Silver stripes. I'll be tossing a Roto-Fab on mine as soon as I get it.

Congrats. It depends on the CAI you get. Most do not require a tune. There are tons of threads on CAI's if you search you can find out about anything you want to know. I love my Cold Air Inductions intake. Apex Chace was helpful to me in sorting out what I wanted when I got my my intake & exhaust, and got me a really good price. Send him a PM. He answered a lot of questons for me.
