Rear camera and sensors

What are the odds that they will get rid of the rear sensors if they use a rear camera instead?
I have a 2010 Buick Enclave. It comes with the rear sensors and camera. I don't have the nav so the camera display is in the rear view mirror. I believe that is how the Chevy Traverse is equipped also. I suspect the Camaro will be the same.

I miss the t-tops and wish they'd offer them as an option.

I had an 85 Firebird, 85 Z-28 and a 97 Z-28 with t-tops and LOVED them, that being said, I don't think the 5th Gen would look right with traditional t-tops. What about a removable glass panel like the Vettes had?? or do they still have them??

There is a thread some where in here (I think it was a front page story) of a company that did a T-Top it does not look as bad as I thought it would. But I agree it does not flow as well with the 5th gen as it did with previous years.

As far as a targa top like the Vettes, I would think it would look even worse, but a Targa top would weigh quite a bit more on the Camaro than it does on the vette.

Yep, I wouldn't count on them taking out the rear sensors. My wife's Equinox has the back up camera in the mirror, but it still has the sensors as well. She loves seeing how much she can make the sensors beep by backing up into things

I think if you order a car you should be able to pay for whatever color options etc you want hence the reason for ordering a car.

I guess he means any color, not just the current colors available.

Well I could see that for an upcharge as it cost more to do one off's on color in an assembly line type process. They would have to buy just enough paint for that one car, and set it up in a once car at a time booth and paint it etc. much more costly than to paint the standard colors all together in the booth at the same time.

Wonder if the LS7 style wheel will be one of the 20" wheel options?

I drove a Cadillac CTS with the backup camera in the rearview mirror and the video quality was pretty washed out and contrasty compared to those that are on a nav screen.

LOL I was thinking this the other night myself. That would be awesome. Considering they won't let anyone else make them, they just might have plans to do that, if so I hope they are available in chrome, and also in a 22". I love those wheels.

Ah well. I'm sure this is the first of a few new things to be announced I'll wish I had.
And just imagine YOUR Cyber Gray car 2-toned with the new Metallic Black on top. Can you say HOT? Seperate the two colors with a thin, hand-painted silver accent stripe to make it POP.

By this fall, I hope to have a taller spoiler, different hood, GFX package on my Imperial Blue Camaro. Top it all off with a 2-tone paint job with the black granite metallic on top, seperated by a thin light blue pinstripe--I can't wait!
