We have been running 10" front with 275/35 and 11" rear with 295 and it's simply amazing how well the car handles. I'm simply blown away by this combo and it takes a lot for me to be impressed.

Wide is largely for looks in my experience and notice. I've seen 285s hook good enough to lift the front. It seems to be all about suspension.

But, in most cases wider seems to just grip more on the street.

A set of gloss gunmetal CF10 Forgestar wheels on your car would look so gorgeous!

What is the aspect ratio of the 295's? 315/35 Nitto NT05's are 28.7", are the Michelin's similar in overall height?

Nitto 315's run smaller than Pirelli PZero Rosso's, I know that for sure when I had to replace the Nitto's and thought all 315's are the same...PZero's in a 315 rub a little on bad bumps at speed...

finally...someone comparing. You guys compare a invo vs nt05 of the same spec? From what I can see the nt05 looks wider too.

That was my car used for the tire comparison pics. I had a chance to drive Mikes car on some twisty roads, and I was sold. Those tires ride great, and are DEAD QUIET. When the Invos are toast I will be switching to the Michelins.

Information like this is what makes forums like this so valuable, thanks for the post. I have Nitto's waiting at ModBargains to be mounted to my new Forgestar's but after reading this thread I definitely want the Michelin's.
Jurrian I hope you're reading this

The michelins are 28.1. The aspect ratio is a 35. Slightly shorter than stock.

Here's how these tires fit on a 10" and 11" wheel.

And here is the rim guard that is built in with these tires. Notice how the tire sticks out 1/4" past the wheel lip.
