I would say it probably was the corvette racecar. Some race teams don't want any pic's as it would give away something that gives them the 'edge' if i had to guess.
better to be safe than sorry and take down their pic's as you did. |

I just ordered the MTI shifter and had it drop shipped to LPE so when they remove the exhaust, they can lower the Trans to install the shifter. It needs to be installed from the bottom (not through the shifter hole) and the exhaust needs to be removed from the Cats back for the shifter install. Just so happens LPE is replacing all of that portion of the exhaust anyway, so I am having them install at the same time - it only makes sense. Last edited by 600hp-lpe; 08-27-2009 at 03:30 PM. |

570,
Have you ever had a top end polished? And if so, can you still see a HP increase like you could years ago before FI was really mainstream... I'm wondering if there is much to gain from a port and polish on these new motors????

yes.. My 900 HP camaro (540 BB) has that done to it. I can see the tops of the valves from looking in the carb.
That would be expensive to do at LPE. they offer a CNC port / Polish. Probably costs close to 1K and they would have to dis-assemble the engine (more cost there). I don't think that is going to help as much with the blower install as much as a N/A engine that would benefit from that. |
