2010 Lotus Eagle

The 2010 Lotus Eagle has landed almost a full week ahead of its planned reveal at the British Motor Show. This single image was released on the Car Magazine website only moments ago, and we have it in full-sized glory, along with specs, after the jump.

As expected, the 2+2 features styling borrowed liberally from the Lotus Elise while taking a more grown-up spin on the Lotus design theme. With a Toyota V6 lurking in the back, good for 276 HP and somewhere north of 250 lb-ft of torque, the lightweight four-passenger car will quickly make it onto the short list of track-day toys, especially if you want to bring the kids along. I hope they aren't suggesting this is the replacement for the Esprit then???

Because i preferred the previous designs for it. :(

^ The Eagle looks evil. The Esprit looks even MORE evil... even in it's current testing form

It's probably down to the beer tokens.... they did use Honda units in the 1st gen Exige and Rover K series engines in the Elise... personally i would've preferred them to still be using the Honda V-Tech engines...... as they could've used the last NSX's engine

My brother saw that and is in love. He wants an Elise but is too tall to fit in it. This looks slightly bigger so there's a chance he'd fit (he's 6'4" btw). I made the jibe that in that case we'd both hav a car with a reverse mohawk.
