AT least it didn't hit my brand new painted hood. THAT would have pissed me off BIG TIME!!!

Ughhh but you're right about the hood. That's a near miss.

Can't believe I drove to Indy and back and didn't even get a rock chip (at least that I've found)

That's the first rock chip I've ever had. Incredible. I've been lucky for many years. Then Dana's Kia gets hit last month with a rock chip and now mine. SUCKS!

I had mine replaced about a year ago, with the same spec glass as gm uses. (Cnt remember the brand name)

Don't use this glass!! It sucks. The spot that had the suction cup handles are permanent marked. I can see the circles and have tried everything except steel wool to remove it.

It is also very prone to chipping. I have 3 small ones already.

I'd go with safelite if I had to do it again.

im using oem glass. safelite is going to do the repair here at the house. but...I want the hud glass....
wonder how that is different

That sucks bro. I got so many chips going to Phoenix...glass and paint.

I'm probably going with the HUD glass as well. Going to replace the dash at some point anyway.

Double the price or more for hud glass. (just a guess from previous hud experience)
