Recovered a BIG Oops!

While I was changing out the engine mounts for some BMR polyurathane ones, I had to take off my intake manifold so I could raise the engine higher and remove the old stock mounts...

I rushed to put the IM back on and decided that if I wasnt gonna use loctite, that I would just tighten a little harder than normal.

Well, I paid the price.

I got lucky with an easy out

The IM bolt is special order from a stealership and is 25 bucks! Can you believe that?!

Those bolts are only torqued to 104in/lbs and in sequence. Glad you got the broken one out.

pg 76 on a pdf viewer shows the sequence.

Yea, convert that to ftlbs, and you can see how easy it would be to snap that head right off!! Gotta always check those torque specs!!
