You will like this setup. I run a novi 1500 with a tsp cam. Drives like an NA car down low but with the right gears and proper shifting these setups are killers. I have a manual car with 4.11 gears, I can get into high boost very fast with the right gear. It's a monster. The mid range hit is awesome.

I have the Novi 1500 and it is powerful but he ask for some with experience and I replied. Proper gearing and shifting I will agree with. I've drove Turbo cars and positive displacement supercharged cars before I bought this car. Everything I stated is true so why would I stop it? He asked. For the most part by what I've seen here the centri guys and 2300 guys boost for boost and running roughly the same at the track. I will say the centri is easier on parts because of how it comes in.

Remember, I'm talking about bottom end power(below 3500 rpm). It does drive like an N/A car for sure with the centri.

The mid range throw you in your seat is what I'm looking for. I don't need boost to smoke the tires off the line if I want. By the sounds of it I think I will be happy with the novi. Thanks man.

You bring up another point that helped in my decision. The fact that it is a little easier on the drivetrain not hammering the car with all that boost down low. I'm not looking to build a race car, just a fun street car. Thanks for the reply.

Looking at some of the dyno graphs I've seen I will have at least an additional 60 hp or so over stock in the low 2000 range and it only goes up quick from there. Not too bad.

I just want to have fun but I also want to have a nice setup. It's not like the car is a dog down low to begin with. I'm starting to think that maybe all that 2300 boost right off the line would be a waste anyway. I will be driving this around town and don't need all that boost every time I leave a light.

All opinions aside you will like the kit. This is an overlay of my old G8 GXP with intake and LTs(same drivetrain basicly as my SS) to my SS:

I think for what I'm looking for, it's the best deal.

Jeff

Well in that case, sounds like a great deal. I have the 1500 and love it, but with the rebate and your goals, you made the right decision.
