She finally got her dream car.

I know I have been MIA for a about a week due to holidays but wanted to share being a 10/12'er riding the roller coaster our ride finally came to an end yesterday. A few on here know that I love my Silverado and I am not ready to move on from her yet but I did order a 16 2SS hyper blue Camaro the day orders could be placed. The car was ordered as a surprise Christmas and birthday (12/30) for my wife of 6 months. I will be honest seeing my car sitting my car in Hamtramac on 12/14 I honestly felt like it would not make it in time. With the help of few on this site my car arrived on 12/24 at my dealer. Sadly we were out of town but the dealer kept it locked up till we arrived on 12/28 to pick it up.

We had just got back in town and I had convinced my wife that we needed to take her 12 Red LT Camaro to get washed and setup an appointment for oil change and state inspection. When we arrived our salesman who always takes our cars to be washed for us took the keys and drove her old car around back. While we waited inside a few other salesman who knew I ordered the car came up and started asking how we liked our car (thankfully they did not say new camaro but just refered to it as our car). Before it go to hairy our salesman comes in and tells us he has 3 16 Camaro's to choose from to let us test out one being a nightfall gray that he claimed was a boring lt, red ss that was manual (she cant drive a stick yet), and the last being the option he brought up. As we walked around he popped the trunk and pulled out the new camaro jacket we had ordered and gave it to her saying that we did not want her to leave empty handed. As she tried it on and put her hands in the pocket she found a key to her brand new car. She thought it was a joke and didnt think it was funny at first but as soon as she realized the truth I dont think she could have smiled any bigger.

I will post the few pics of the surprise I have here and I will let her create an account to share other pictures she took. I have shared all the stories the good and the bad with her. I even told her about the almighty Becky that has beyond helpful.

I wanted to give huge shout out to Becky for putting up with all the status checks and sharing her knowledge and passion with us. Also a huge shout out to a certain member who helped give me advice on how to escalate my issue to get the car here by Christmas. Big thank you to all those who come here to enjoy the car, share their knowledge, and their passion.

Oh yeah the Bose sound system rocks, I havent put the volume much past two thirds the way up because I was afraid to blow them lol Even at 1/2 way up the bass vibrates you're pants leg....

Lol our sales guy giving us the walk through told us it sounded great then turned to a rap station and cranked it 100%. For a stock system it sounds great if your an audio snob you may not enjoy it as much as a custom system but it's still nothing to shake a stick at.. The LT I drove had the nose upgrade and Ihhonestly believe it sounded better in the SS.
