What you told me about crystal red is gnawing on me. I am going to go back to the dealer and see if they will pull the Crystal Red Zo6 from under the awning so i can see it in both shade and bright light....
My gut tells me no....but
I might just be craving a double cheeseburger or something...
So I am gonna go down there one last time to make sure.
We are getting too close to the count down now to be worried about what color we want..
I don't wanna still be beating this after the i get my ZL1?
Ill take a my IPhone4 and maybe a real digital camera down there..
I think I may have one or two that still works....
Just for photo comparisons....
Gotta nail it tomorrow for sure...

CRM (RJT) is too classy for a ZL1... You need badass! I love RJT and IBM but both are classy colors, look great but not on this one... If I were to get one, personally I'd get red.

This car is definitely a "muscle car" I don't care what anyone says if they say it aint...
But IMHO.... a muscle car either needs a classic color (red, yellow, black, red, orange)
or a BRIGHT custom color... or something that really sets it apart.... such as IOM..
but all the way around..not in just one area...IE....the stripes have to match and not clash... they need to "pop" so to speak...
Race cars need stripes so I will have stripes for sure.
The last time I looked at the CRM, i did not get to see it directly in the sun...
it looked a little "pale" to me at times....
Not sure what it was....
Thats why I want to go back tomorrow and hopefully we will have a bright day with little to no glare, and no cloud cover.
But you also have to keep in mind since I am in texas the weather changes every 5 minutes here. So I have to be 100% with it even in low lighting and shade...
I have said this before but to me, the VR is the brightest color on the plate...
Also going to take out any lingering doubts I may have...
I have seen some cars that look to me that it could be CRM such as a HHR i seen today..
whatever it was... id be happy with... But to me it looked like it may have been like RJT?
is that possible. What colors do this years and the last two years HHR come in?
I have seen one ABM HHR as well.. Just last week in fact...
I guess I need to go to the chevy site...

Red Jewel is very deep color and very much a Camaro color. A very classy color for a very classy car.

I really know how you feel. I had a Corvette Club meeting tonight at a Chevy dealership and spent 20 minutes in the parking lot before the meeting. They had a Red Jewel Camaro and two Victory Red Camaros in the lot along with a Crystal Red Corvette and a new Sonic. I got a chance to see them in the day light and in the parking lot lights after the meeting. The Red Jewel is very deep looking and the Crystal Red is much lighter but still luxurious. The Victory Red just does not have the depth of the metallics. I like the way it changes shades in different angles without sacrificing that it is truly a red color. In my opinion. Color is so subjective, pick a color that you like. Good luck my friend.

I rented a Crystal Red Caddy for a week and spend every driving moment looking at other car colors on the road. I have compared Caddys, Corvettes, Cruze in Crystal Red to the Victory Red at the dealerships. The new Chevy web site has three nice pictures of the Camaro in Crystal Red if you have not seen it yet.

I am pretty sure now the HHR I seen that drove passed me was crystal red...
If it is, I could have made it mine... In fact... I tried to catch up with them to ask what color it was...but you know how that goes!
Im gonna make a trip...hopefully they will still have something in CRM.

At the Chevy dealership check for Vettes and Cruzes in Crystal Red. If so, see if they also A Victory Red car to park next to it. Crystal Red is a popular Cadillac color so check with Cadillac also. Another source is a Carmax Used Car lot to see if they have cars with both colors on them at the same time.

I might be changing my mind again to CRT..
as in doing research I found out what maybe be bothering me when I do not see it in full sunlight...
The HHR I seen today was going down the road against the sun....
I was like "holy cow that is nice!" it has to be crt...
anyway... Hope the vette guys do not mind me borrowing a photo...

What they mention on the vette site is the "tint" in tint coat is actually a "tint" in the clear.... and not a "clear" "clear" in the clear coat..
So that would explain why I might not care for it once it is shaded ect..
Here is the quote "Every car painted in Bowling Green is painted with a primer, a color coat and a clear coat. The premium tint coat cars use a tinted clear coat to affect a change on the final color as viewed. They cost more because there are only two clear coat robots in the paint shop and in order to paint a tint coat car they need to purge and clean the robots, spray the tintcoat panels and then purge and clean the robots to go back to conventional clar."
But once the sun or direct light hits it..watch out!

They charge an extra $325.00 for Crystal Red on the Camaro as a Premium Paint. I am not sure if they use a tinted clear coat on the Camaro like they do a Vette. That would be nice to find out. That is such a nice color on the Vette!
