I just removed my front wheel and at first set my torque to 100ft/lbs. After reading this I re-torqued the wheel to 140. It was not that tight when I took it off.

Ok so it's been one year to the day. Has anyone experienced warped rotors @ 140 ft/lbs?

Mine have been @ 140lbs for 10 months now, no issues at all.

Cool. Thx for the update. The Jap cars I work on warp @ anything over 100 (thin rotors &/or soft metal!).

Thx, Rudy. I appreciate your advice. BTW I recommend my customers order their tires from you and have them drop shipped to my shop for installation. This way they get the exact tire they prefer, installed, at the lowest prices!

When I had mine retorqued at Discount Tire, I was told that their table said 140; anything else would create a liability issue for the companies that don't go by it.

You guys still talking about torque for lugnuts...this is comedy how long this has gone on...read the manual, then decide. I torque mine at 100lbs and had no issues...the world is not going to end if you deviate from 140lbs...move on to a new topic to obsess over...

Lets put 40% less oil in too! Then see what happens. Why bother reading the manual.

Not the same thing genius, I use keyed tuner lugnuts, 140 will destroy the key, so 100lbs is the deal.
