New member of the ZL1 family! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just bought a new 2013 Blue Ray M6 ZL1 with polished rims. I got it out of state in order to get a 2013 with the color and options I wanted and am having the car moved to Wisconsin in an enclosed trailer as the roads here are a mess right now. I’ve only seen it in pictures and won’t be able to drive it until April. Killing me!

My daily driver for the last 9-1/2 years is a 2004 GTO that I’ve owned since new. It’s been a fantastic car and the LS1 has performed flawlessly for 91,000 miles. Now it will be my crap weather car and the ZL1 will be my April to October car. With winter tires, the GTO goes like hell in the snow!

I’ve owned many performance oriented cars over the years including…

1976 Trans Am 455 (Y82 Bandit t-top) that that was my second car ever at age 19 and sub-frame off restored in 2000 with engine power increased to ~450 HP. Sold it in 2009 because old muscle cars don’t thrill me now that the new ones do EVERYTHING better.
1984 Monte Carlo SS (Blue) that was my first NEW car when I was 21. The Camaro’s Blue Ray color looks very similar to this IMO
1991 Z28 5.7 (black) that was heavily modified and amazingly fast. I miss her the most
1996 Firebird V6 M6. No budget for WS6

Buying this car is a dream come true. When I was a kid, my pals and I bench raced the specs of the old muscle cars and wished we could have been old enough to buy one when they were new. Now, I’m fortunate enough to own a car that is radically superior in every way.
