CAI installation ?

Is it really imperative to disconnect the battery? I did not see the guy in the DIY on Facebook disconnect his. Won't that require everything to be re-set after the install? Sounds like a pain in the butt.

Thanks for the quick response. That was the first thing is says in the installation instructions. Did not make sense to me. Guess that is one of those overkill liability things huh?

It's only recommended because sometimes something can go wrong, since you're handling the MAF sensor. Whenever you deal with sensors, cutting the battery lowers the chances of your car throwing a CEL, eventhough nothing may be wrong.

The only thing you need to reset after battery is disconnected is re-indexing your windows. Not really a pain in the butt if you ask me. =D
