[QUOTE=TAG UR IT;644393] I mean...both have good throttle response and both feel "firm," if you could understand.
QUOTE] thanks. i've only really driven three vehicles for very long, my truck, moms stratus and the 4th gen. my truck has a pretty stiff throttle, but the brakes move like an inch before they do anything (there is nothing to do about it, i've tried) and the stratus had an accelerator that i could never feel with my foot. The camaro just felt just the way i think the pedals and steering wheel should and hoped they kept the new one the same. so ya, thanks again

Nice review Tag. I'm just wondering how you compare the feel of the size of the two cars, 4thgen and 5th? Does the 5th feel a lot different in size/weight to you?

EPIC FAIL. Your credibility = -1000 after that post. So you own a "debilitated" Auto SS, correct? That equals -800 in my book. :-) Cheers. That's a cryin' shame. <yawn> Sigh. bring it. (you know I'm just kidding, right!?!?!) LOL

Nice review but apples and oranges, I like them both however I have only driven the V6
5th Gen. A lot of what I suspected which is the 4th, especially a strong LT1 may pull a little better on low end but not as well over the full rpm range. This was pretty typical of the LT1 vs the LS1. I would expect some of the same with the LS3. To compare however it is going to get harder and harder to find a stock LT1 or LS1 that has not been driven hard or has low miles on it to run against. I like them both but I still think the best is yet to come from the 5th gen. If they build this car for 5 or 6 years it's scary to think how quick the future ones will be. |

Have owned my 4th Gen for 16 yrs, had 3 miles on it when took it off of the dealers hands. She has 89,000 on her now and still will get on it pretty hard. My 5th Gen is on order and can't wait to bring her home and try her out. Great write up Tag, looking forward to making my own camparison.

Of course. A lot of us are going from 4th to 5th Gens. I drove a 4th Gen for 9 years.....that's A LOT of time to get aquainted with the in's and out's of the 4th Gen Camaro.
And finally having gone to a new car, there's some major differences...I mean...it's kind of like moving...lol It is a HUGE change going from one car to a completely new car. ....especially when you were comfortable in the old car. I loved that 4th Gen. ...but, this new 5th Gen, so far, has me waaaaay more impressed. |

I have 11 years in a 4th gen. I hope I'm at least as happy with the 5th as I have been with the 4th. Otherwise what's the point. |

Yes, please tell your team that the Camaro is EVERYTHING that Tag says and until you have actually sat in it and driven it, words are still not enough to convey the PURE JOY of driving this MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... |
