I was quoted $135-$150 at half a dozen shops. I ended up paying just $125 with the front window strip.

Same place, same price. Great job in less than an hour.

When comparing window tint prices it might help to add some information about what brand (manufacturer) and type of window tint you are getting installed. I had the dealer arrange for a local shop (local to the dealer, not to me) add window tint when I bought my last new car about 4 1/2 years ago. I just dug out the paperwork and unfortunately all I was given related to the tint was a warranty card with very few details on it. My fault for not getting more details at the time. Although I can tell from the card the tint is made by LLumar the paperwork doesn't give me enough information to tell what type of LLumar film it is or its light transmission. Alabama is a 32% limit state, I think I comply but it would be nice to know for sure. Next time I get window tinting done (Feb. on my LS I hope!) I am going to make sure I know what type of film I am getting and that I write down the details somewhere.

Per their web site, LLumar makes the following different types of automotive window films: Safety & Security Series, High Performance Series, Safety & Security (Clear) Series, Windscreen Film Series, Metallized Series, Dyed Series, and Paint Protection Film (PPF). Their web site is at http://www.llumar.com/.

BTW, I am very pleased with my 4 year old tint, it provides very good heat protection (needed in Bama) and is dark but not too dark and is still easy to see with at night. And it has held up well and looks exactly like the day I got it. So I would like to get the same type of LLumar on my Camaro... but I don't know what type it is:-(. The details never take care of themselves, do they? :-).

Was wondering if any members in North Louisiana had a tint shop they could recommend a tint shop that uses high quality material. After calling around it seems that most havent even heard of ceramic tint.
