I have a few buddies with JBA's on their 3.6L's, and they don't have any check engine lights. I think if they are installed correctly you will see NO CEL's.

The DT's look pretty nice in the picture.

how much was the install?
In my case it was free. I was the R&D car for the headers and catback.

Wish I could give you more details on the install, but I was home working in Huntington Beach when these were being installed up in Corona. If you have specific questions, you can call Nick at DTH.

Oh, and I almost forgot. I had said earlier somewhere in this thread that they were coming and would be available soon. Well, they're here. I got an e-mail from DTH today saying that the current batch of headers should be avail. for shipping by Thursday or Friday of this week.

Hey fellas! I need to spend some more time over here on the V6 thread.

Check it out:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...stall%2Freview

This is my install/review for the LS3 car. Not much different at all considering they are almost identical setups.

Correct in as if they are installed tightly, then there should not be any CEL activity.

Remember, you are not changing the positions (distance away from the motor) of the Catalytic Converters so there should not much concern over the CEL.

Now, can it come on? Sure...

Have I seen it happen yet? No...

With that said, they are the best bang for the buck when it comes to Shorties.

Great thread discussion guys. Thanks Jon for your efforts as well.

Yes, they are ceramic coated. In fact this is the only way they are available.

Are they aluminum? ...

[On second thought, I think the aluminum-like appearance is actually the silver ceramic coating which is on the inside and outside of these. These are steel I believe.]
Yes, they are steel. Show Quality Ceramic Coated 5 mils on the outside and 3 mils on the INSIDE!!!

Limited lifetime warranty on all the Doug Thorley Headers!

Bad mama jammas!

Thanks for that Info Ivan. You are quicker to respond than either calling Doug Thorley, or E-Mailing them. Still waiting for responses back from them. Not sure why calling didn't work yesterday....Didn't think it was a holiday in California! LOL!

I would be tempted also. I downloaded the install instructions yesterday and they were incomplete, but at least gave some information as to the how and why of the installation.

Incomplete due to a few critical dimensions for cutting and welding the down pipe...

Auto Anything doesn't have them listed yet. If they were to offer the same 30% discount on these as they do on the DT V8 Shorties, the price would be around $350 a set!

Then again, I don't imagine they are able to do the volume of V6 headers they can with the V8, so maybe that kind of discount isn't possible. I'll see if I can get hold of someone at DTH to ask.
