Let me just start off by saying that I'm a die hard American Muscle guy and I am in no way into tuners (Supra's are a BIG exception however). If you don't know what Honda Day is, it's pretty much what it sounds like (think Camaro5 Fest). I decided to go simply to check out NJ/ E-Town raceway because a track day has been on my mind for some time, plus it's my bday so I wanted to see some racing. I took a nice little video which I will post up soon, and which contains some INTENSE runs. What I learned today is that those damn rice rockets are ****ing quick. Many of them were running 10's and 9's EASILY. So in the end it was a lot of fun and the general theme of this little adventure is "to each his own".

I'll get that video up ASAP.

Yeah, a lot of them are quick.
clutches and driveline parts don't last though.
At least with a Camaro/GTO/Mustang/Challenger you can add 75+hp and have reasonable durability as long as you don't beat on it day in and day out.

yeah I know a few guys running 11s with their integras. And they really didnt spend much.

Honestly bro I thought I was gonna hear fart cans too, but some of these guys are running complete race setups and are extremely loud.

Exactly, some are almost stock while some have their exhausts coming straight out of the hood and are running huge drag radials.

Weight to power ratio has alot to do with it and a little NOS does not hurt either.

Sound like you had a good time. Glad to hear it. Happy Birthday! Coming from the import crowd, I was never really into drag racing. The other guys I hung with, however, were. That whole, 'no replacement for displacement,' thing, these guys use technology and trick tuning to even the playing field. They take data logging and dyno-tuning to the next level. Much respect for those types of enthusiasts.

Most of the guys I cruise with all drive "tuner" cars. They're all really nice cars and can be surprisingly quick.
