Badger,
Could you post vids of a pass at cruise speed, high speed and running through the gears? No burn outs or anything, just a brisk launch. Thanks ~ Rick

arh $1795 (headers, cats, and x)
sw $1190 (headers, cats, and x)
sw exhaust $1150 (made only for sw headers unless you modify)
slp axle back $600 ( add to arh)
magnaflow axle back $600-$650 (add to arh)
sw=$2350 (roughly)
arh and axle back=$2400

so for a whole system i dont see any difference really in price.

Yes, but $1795 for headers and mid pipe is extremely expensive. That nearly $600.00 more than SW.

Why not $1190.00 (SW headers, cats, x pipe)+ $600.00 (magna flow axle back) = $1790.00
That would save you $610.00

How hard would it be to fabricate the SW midpipe to the stock Camaro catback?

I've been looking at systems for several weeks now (can't do much else since the car won't be in for 3+ months!) The way I see it? Maybe exhaust company systems are a little high now due to the "new car tax effect", but 2400.00 for a complete quality system is very reasonable, considering the going market.

The SW system I priced was:
catted headers=1450.00
cat back system=1190.00
total sw system=2640.00

Most other combos are running around the 2300 to 2500 range, assuming the different supplier's parts mate up. Using pieces from the stock system can save you a few bucks........... but what's the point? Just my observation…..

Buy what you like for your car, don’t flame somebody for spending any amount for a system they are happy with. If you don’t like the system being reported……… DON’T buy it!

I for one am grateful for the members that post their findings and share their videos with me so I can better my decision of what direction to go when the time comes to part with some cash, or did I misunderstand what this forum is all about?

Definately not flaming anyone. I'm thinking of getting a Corsa catback for my Camaro and they're really expensive.

I also had Kook's 1 3/4 headers on my 05 GTO and I put Kook's 1 7/8 headers on my 06 GTO. Kooks makes a great product.

But exhaust components are getting so darn expensive.

This bitching about price has to stemmed from some sort of inferiority complex.
If it's to expensive for your wallet,be an adult, make that statement and move on. Why languish on it? If nobody buy's it the manufacture will either go belly up or adjust accordingly. Those that CAN afford AND like the product will support the american enterprise and purchase what THEY WANT AND LIKE. If you have a problem with that, move to Russia. Please.

you'd have to have your exhaust shop modify pipes to make them work together. which would be more $$$

IMO you pay for what you get Quality , proven performance and thats what you get when you buy Kooks Yes No matter how you look at it $2400 is expensive however ask yourself this How Fast do I want to go ?

Someone mentioned buying a mandrel bender and doing it yourself for $2400
Kooks and other companies are using computer bends meaning computers know what bend to make for the hp given by your car and its exhaust.
Yeah anyone can bend a piece of pipe but the flow won't be precise.

And just because ARH made one thing and Kooks makes another meaning hp numbers it all comes down to the tuner as well. I know a Tuner that is getting Beast like Numbers out of a Stock L99 headers and catback with his Tune why ?
He knows that Transmission like a teenager knows his hand.
