Catch can Installed, Oil still coming in the intake...
Hi,
I have an elite engineering can installed. Works great, picks up oil. The problem I have is oil coming out of the other valve cover(driver side), and condensating into my CAI and intake manifold :( I am aware of a certain oil cap with some valve inside, would that solve my problem? this oil ingestion needs to stop. I was also thinking about adding another hose from the 2nd valve cover to the can, and splicing the can's intake hose(like a Y, so it would catch oil from both sides). I do not know if this would disrupt PCV flow though. If a vented cap / splicing / or both is not the solution, what is? Thanks!! |

Best thing I have found is get either a GM or RX oil separator that take the place of your oil fill cap and route to where currently is the driverside back valve hose goes to your cai. Cap the back driverside valve cover barb.

Do you have pictures or part numbers by any chance?
I see there's an oil separator for the 1LE V8, I don't know if it's the same.. thanks! |
