AFM sometimes kicks on manual mode

My Afm sometimes kicks in when I am in teptronic mode. So Id have to put it in drive then kick it back to sport to enter manual mode. Any ideas why it's doing it?

Your not driving hard enough?

AFM only happened on soft shifts

When i didn't have a range device I drove mine in manual mode for a couple months without AFM kicking in. Here's how - put it in manual mode, before moving at all, upshift ( the dic will display shift denied) then downshift and go. This prevents AFM from engaging at all even low rpm shifts don't matter. Now I just use the range device so I can drive in whichever mode I want without AFM. Give not a try!

You have to do a downshift. Otherwise, AFM will behave exactly the same in M as in Drive.

He's talking about AFM, you're talking about skip shift.

Just buy a Range device. It's one of the nicest mods I've done. No more AFM to annoy you. You can forget it exists.

+1 on the Range...
Much smoother power. Makes the car run like it's supposed to!

Mine has never kick in when in manual mode. There is no lag when I'm in that mode.
