What would you pay for rally stripe extentions?

What would you pay for extendions for the rally stripes over the spoiler?

I have another thread asking vendors if they would come up with a package we could purchase to just be able to extend the factory Rally stripes over the spoiler down the bottom edge on the back side of the spoiler.

let them know here how much you would be willing to pay for them?

I would probably be willing to pay $50 for them. but that is just a guess...

Guess nobody else wants them..

After everything that was said about the stripes not going over the spoiler when the Camaro first came out I am surprised nobody has said they wanted some...

I really like the idea, BUT how would that work without looking funny where the extension meets the OEM stripe? If it can be done to look right, I would be all over this idea as well.

That was my stipulation, it had to match the factory stripe color and width, and the spacing and width of the pinstripe would have to match also, in other words no differrent from the factory stripe should be detectable...

I would definitely be interested at a ballpark of $50 to $75.

Hey, how durable are the factory stripes? I am wondering whether they will still look good after thousands of washes and rain.

Going from past experience, as long as you don't use harsh detergents, like dish washing soap, your stripes should last for many years, I would say a minimum of 5 years, but more likely 8 or so. I have had paint go bad as quickly as vinyl stripes have... I think the technology in both paint and automotive grade vinyl is better now than ever.

I just got mine from the Camaro decal store also (39.95). It's raining today, of course.... So I haven't gone out to check the size, but it's supposed to match size & matte finish. They sell them in 12" length, but I needed it a little longer for my after market spoiler. If it's clear tomorrow, I'll check it out.

Just received my 12" extended stripes from forum member organgrinder. They seem to be good OEM quality.

I like that look better than the factory stripes, but I prefer painted stripes.

I just went out to put my extensions on and guess what? They are too narrow, the ones they sent me are 12 3/4" wide outside to outside of the pinstripe, the factory ones on my car are 13 1/4" ... I will write them and see what they will do about it..
