probably the wrong forum section for that question.

cutouts are a great, inexpensive way to increase HP @ WOT

How much would guess it increased by? And does it improve mpg to have them open or closed? And faster with them open or
Closed?

to be honest.... It's not enough for you to ever notice a difference. I wouldn't even think about it.

Wow really? I always thought cutouts were the answer to max HP in the exhaust segment by bypassing the cats and mufflers. When the cutouts were closed, was it flowing through the precats, cats, and mufflers?

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

I installed a manual cutout on mine and honestly, I lost horsepower and some torque. When I leave it closed up though, I gain horsepower and keep my torque. Without enough back-pressure you'll lose power.

I could have sworn Darth Emma picked up 50 hp when she had her cut outs open.

Yeah but it should increase more than 1HP shouldn't it? I mean it sounds amazing don't get me wrong, that's the reason I bought them if I wanted performance I would have bought the V8.

What can I do too increase my horsepower thats also pretty cheap? Just want a little bit of an edge over other stock V6 camaros

It depends where you put the cut outs. Darth Emma has hers right behind her headers and she picks up like ~40 rwhp when they're open.

Are we talking about V6 or a V8 here?
