Toyota-thon victim? You decide.

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/31/p...nd-reports-it/

I love the first line of the article...I know exactly what he was thinking...lol...

Also, read the comments after the article....I love the one about a "4X4 Mustang Variant". Wouldn't that be about the only "edition" they haven't made?

Thanks for that, Silverado. Entertaining - I got my chuckles in for the day.

a tip for would be thieves: leave a few valuables in the car if you're going to report it stolen... lends credibility to your story and sets off fewer red flags... oh, and trust no one... lol

Thanks Dragon, but I can't really take credit for either of those...they were in the comments from other readers. I thought about the Toyota commercials when I started reading the article, but others beat me to it.

Still funny though.

Well, lets all keep in mind that it was a mustang owner, so he can be given a bit of leeway for doing stupid things

Yeah I mean I've gotten my Saab to 130 mph EASILY. And that's not a very quick car to start with

And excuse me for being dim, but "Toyota-thon?"

I'm still both amused and disturbed that Toyota endorses insurance fraud in order to buy a new car. Only Toyota...

You know I had never thought about insurance fraud when I saw those commercials. I wondered why they didn't just sell the vehicles to get cash towards the new car.
